ASGA Queensland Golf Day Delivers Another Cracking Day at Nudgee

With more than 100 registrations from across Queensland’s sign and print industry came together at Nudgee Golf Club on Thursday, 17 September, for the 2026 ASGA Queensland Sign & Print Golf Day.

With picture-perfect Queensland weather, plenty of friendly rivalry and perhaps the occasional creative interpretation of the rules, the annual Ambrose event once again proved a great opportunity for the industry to step away from the workshop and office and enjoy a day together, with many travelling from interstate to share the QLD sunshine.

Following breakfast, players headed out for an 8.00am shotgun start, before returning to the clubhouse for lunch, presentations and the all-important discussion about the putts that nearly went in.

Taking out the day with an impressive nett 45 was the AP Signs team of Marc McMillian, Bernard Jackson, Ken Bower and Tony Hewitt.

Runners-up with nett 47 were the HVG 2 team of David McDonald, Anthony Lambrose, Jason Kirk and Jonathon O’Toole.

There was plenty of competition around the course for the novelty prizes as well, with winners including Scott Thorburn, John Ferguson, Ryan Byun, Duncan Read, Russell from Benga Designs, Adam Janz, Craig Hooper, Brooklyn Sinn and Rob Ferrier.

ASGA extends a huge thank you to Graphic Art Mart, Principal Sponsor of the day, along with ORAFOL as Lunch, Drinks & Prizes Sponsor and Arlon as Drinks Cart Sponsor.

Thanks also go to the novelty and hole sponsors, including ARC Metal Fabrication, ASMI, Bounce LED, Spicers, Vanguard Digital, Durst, HVG Graphics Media, SMB and Canon Production Printing, whose support helps make days like this possible.

Most importantly, thank you to the 100-plus players who came along, supported the event and made it another terrific day for the Queensland sign and print community.

Great weather, great company, questionable golf – what more could you ask for?
