Currie Group broadens offering with new product lines and organisational expansion

Currie Group has revealed plans to broaden its product range and strengthen its market offering, with CEO Rob Mesaros announcing the integration of several new brands and business units into the company’s operations.
From 1 July 2026, three business units currently operating within the Aldus Group—Paragon Inks, API Foils, and the Pad Printing division acquired through the Milford Astor business—will transition to Currie Group management.
Speaking about the move, Mesaros said the change represents a natural progression for Currie Group, which has been operating independently within the wider Aldus Group structure.
Following a comprehensive review of its product portfolio, Currie Group will assume responsibility for a range of consumable and industrial printing solutions, including foils, thermal transfer ribbons, Paragon flexographic inks, and industrial decorating and printing technologies.
“These businesses will formally become part of Currie Group from 1 July 2026 and will be incorporated into our leadership framework and market strategy,” Mesaros said.
The transition is designed to enhance customer value by expanding Currie Group’s labels and packaging offering. Responsibility for the newly added product categories will fall under Mark Daws, Head of Labels and Packaging for Australia and New Zealand.
At the same time, Currie Group will establish a new Commercial and Sign & Display division. This group will bring together the company’s commercial digital solutions, finishing equipment, and lithographic consumables portfolio. Paul Whitehead will lead the new division while continuing in his existing role overseeing the sign and display business.
Mesaros explained that the company’s growing product portfolio has prompted a refinement of its go-to-market approach across Australia and New Zealand.
He noted that each product category requires specialist knowledge and dedicated support, and that additional appointments will be made to ensure the business maintains the expertise and market coverage needed to support customers effectively.
According to Mesaros, the creation of the Commercial and Sign & Display division reflects the ongoing growth and development of both sectors.
He also highlighted the strategic benefits of bringing inks and foils into the labels and packaging portfolio, giving Currie Group the ability to supply consumables alongside equipment and solutions for the first time.
Mesaros described the move as a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing development, reinforcing its commitment to combining leading technologies, respected brands, and strong customer support capabilities.
He said the expanded portfolio will provide customers throughout Australia and New Zealand with greater opportunities to increase efficiency, explore new revenue opportunities, and access a broader range of expertise through a single supplier relationship.
