VistaPrint and Save-A-Dog Scheme bring festive hope to shelter pets still waiting for their forever home 

 This Christmas, VistaPrint is partnering with Save-A-Dog Scheme (SADS), a Melbourne-based no-kill rescue organisation, to sprinkle a little festive magic and shine a light on the pets still waiting. Together, they are helping Australians see the faces and names of animals longing to be part of a family and reminding us that the spirit of Christmas is about love, compassion and finding a place to belong. 

As part of the effort, shelter dogs received personalised gift bundles filled with blankets, bowls, beds, engraved ID tags and a heartfelt printed message of love just for them. These gifts are not waiting for adopters, but for the dogs themselves, a reminder that they are loved and not forgotten. 

Adoption challenges persist, especially for older dogs and those with behavioural issues¹. 

“Some of these dogs have been with us for a very long time,” said Thea Agius, Manager, Save-A-Dog Scheme. “The longer some dogs stay in care, the harder it can be for them to find a home. Initiatives like this help people picture that pet as part of their family when they see a name printed on a bowl or blanket. That moment of connection can make all the difference.”
