Hexis Australia Host Their First Hex’pert Day

Experts in graphics application from Far North Queensland, Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria travelled long distances to attend the inaugural Hexis Australia Hex’pert Day in Keysborough, Victoria. The enthusiasm surrounding the event was clear from the moment guests arrived. Many participants had journeyed considerable distances because they knew this would be a rare opportunity to learn from leading trainers, to see new products, to enjoy hands on demonstrations, and to strengthen relationships within the wider Hexis community.

Ian Parsonson, Managing Director of Hexis Australia, welcomed visitors as they arrived at the Keysborough facility. Along with his dedicated team, he spoke with customers about the schedule for the day, the newest products in the Hexis range, and the many training and learning opportunities the company provides throughout the year. Most importantly, Ian and his team made sure that every attendee felt valued and that the event served as a place where people could connect with fellow professionals.

Ian explained the purpose of these events very clearly. Hexis Hex’pert Days, he said, are designed to bring people together so they can learn, exchange ideas, talk openly about techniques, and feel part of a much broader community. As a family owned and operated business, Hexis Australia aims to create an environment in which customers know they are welcome to offer feedback and seek support whenever they need it. Ian emphasised that installers, trainers and suppliers form a connected group of specialists who grow stronger when they share knowledge and experience.

Once guests enjoyed a generous lunch, the attention shifted to the newest additions to the Hexis product lineup. Participants were encouraged to explore a collection of innovative films and protective solutions that are already generating excitement within the industry.

One of the most talked about items was Skintac HXONE Super High Gloss, an advanced film developed with a focus on precision and visual quality. The product features a smooth mirror like finish and a surface that naturally resists dirt. Installers commented on how easy and accurate it was to work with during demonstrations, making it especially appealing for professionals who value both speed and flawless results.

Another standout was Bodyfence X, a transparent adhesive film known for its remarkable ability to self-heal at ambient temperature.

This product has been in the market for some years and as a self-manufacturer Hexis prides itself on constant R&D and invests 3% of annual turnover into this. BodyfenceX has been improved with more aggressive adhesive allowing faster install and adhesion at the edges along with better surface protection. The Bodyfence range now includes Gloss, Satin & Matt in the “X” version along with BFBlackm black matt. Installers were impressed by how the film went down and quick adhesion.

They have recently added Candyfence into their PPF range, a dry apply TPU film. The Carbon Fibre gloss, CF001 is incredible and will be joined by 12 colours in the New Year. This herald’s further development in this field from the Hexis Labs.

Attendees also examined BFShield Windscreen Protection Film, which is designed to improve driving comfort by shielding windscreens from micro scratches, harsh weather, and the constant impact of rain at high speed. Its clarity and protective strength make it a worthwhile solution for customers who spend many hours on the road.

The event also showcased Hexlights, a specialised series of tinted films developed for vehicle headlights and taillights. These films offer style and function in equal measure, providing a level of optical quality that enhances the look of a vehicle while maintaining clarity and performance.

Because the event included Hexis certified trainers as well as some of the most experienced installers in Australia, everyone who attended had the chance to try the products directly. Participants were able to compare techniques, ask questions, and see how each film behaved in real application settings. This practical element is one of the reasons Hexis Hex’pert Days are so popular. They offer a learning experience that cannot be replicated by a catalogue or an online tutorial.

The Hexis facility in Keysborough proved to be the ideal space for such an event. The factory houses an extensive range of Hexis materials, giving visitors a clear understanding of the variety available. Perhaps the most valuable feature of the site is its climate-controlled application area, which has been designed specifically for testing and demonstration. Customers can even book the space for complex or demanding jobs, giving them access to an environment where conditions are stable and predictable. This is just one example of the many additional services Hexis Australia offers to help customers achieve outstanding results.

During the Hex’pert Day, the facility was divided into different sections so trainers could focus on specific demonstrations. The sharing of knowledge played a key role throughout the afternoon. Even the smallest details, such as a technique for stretching a film or insight into the behaviour of a particular adhesive, can help professionals improve their work. These moments add up, making installation faster, smoother, and more consistent. In an industry where time is valuable, this kind of shared expertise can make a real difference.

Events like this align with the global tradition of Hexis Expert Days, which have taken place in locations such as Le Mans and Dubai. These gatherings celebrate innovation, community, and skill development, and they underline the commitment of Hexis to supporting professionals in vehicle wrapping, paint protection, and surface customisation.

The first Hexis Australia Hex’pert Day not only showcased new technology but also strengthened the bonds that already exist within the professional community. Judging by the energy in the room and the enthusiasm of everyone involved, this will be the first of many successful events in the years ahead.
