METEOR INKJET ACHIEVES KING’S AWARD FOR ENTERPRISE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Meteor Inkjet Ltd, a leading supplier of industrial inkjet printhead driving solutions, has been awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development. The company has received the award for its longstanding commitment to sustainability and is one of only 36 organisations in the UK to be recognised this year.
The King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development is awarded for commercially successful products, services and management that benefit the environment, society and the economy. Meteor Inkjet is at the forefront of advancing the implementation of inkjet technology into print and production industries worldwide, replacing less sustainable methods and enabling shorter production runs with zero overproduction. In receiving the award, Meteor Inkjet has also been recognised for its strong sustainable ethos and commitment to conducting its business in a socially responsible and ethical manner, minimising its own environmental impact.
Managing Director Clive Ayling said: “This recognition reflects the journey we’ve been on to embed sustainability into every part of our business. From offsetting our carbon footprint to supporting our people and local community, we’ve worked hard to ensure that responsible, ethical practices guide our decisions every day as we enable the conversion of industry to more sustainable production using industrial inkjet. While we’re proud of the progress we’ve made, we see this as just the beginning and remain focused on continuous sustainable development.”
The King’s Awards for Enterprise recognises outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 60th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country. This is the second time Meteor Inkjet has been honoured with this accolade, having received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2019 for its outstanding achievements in international trade.
There will be a Royal Reception for King’s Award winners at St James’s Palace and the company will celebrate with all employees at its head office near Cambridge.
