Mimaki to Launch Three New Printers

Mimaki has announced the introduction of three new UV flatbed printers: the large-format JFX220-2515, and the small-format UJF200 Series (UJF200-3042 and UJF200-6042). Developed to make advanced UV printing easier to operate and more accessible to print service providers, the new products combine simplified workflows and increased automation to support more efficient, productive print operations. These printers will also feature RasterLink8, the latest generation of Mimaki’s RIP and workflow management software, with enhanced job management and automated alignment capabilities.

In addition, Mimaki has announced the new TxF330-800 which brings robust, consistent, continuous printing to Mimaki’s direct-to-film (DTF) product range. This latest DTF system offers customers automated maintenance, a 16-cartridge ink system with expanded white ink capacity and higher speeds to perform in demanding production environments.

JFX220 boosts automation, speed and productivity

Building on the legacy of the JFX200 Series, the JFX220-2515 inherits high image quality and productivity with improved automation to help sign businesses decrease downtime. Features such as the new Anchor Technology significantly reduce preparation time by applying a vacuum only where the media is placed, eliminating masking and manual vacuum adjustments, while automatic locating pins enable fast and accurate media positioning. The new four-head configuration enables dual CMYK printing, delivering production speeds of up to 42m2/h.

Responding to market demand, the JFX220-2515 offers an expanded printable area of 2,500 x 1,500mm, optimised for European board sizes, and ideal for large-scale applications like retail signage, and as standard, can print on media up to 101.6mm thick. Further increasing its application capabilities is the addition of fluorescent EFS-150 inks, enabling high-impact retail, promotional and wayfinding graphics. Its LD4 mode, which allows for printing up to 20mm away from the printhead, and 2.5D Texture Maker enable premium print finishes like embossing and added accessibility with braille printing.

The UJF200 Series, comprising the UJF200-3042 and UJF200-6042, brings high print quality, versatility and automation to industrial printing. Equipped with highly precise printheads, the systems faithfully reproduce fine text, detailed graphics and smooth gradients, while support for fluorescent inks expands opportunities across bespoke promotional products, product decoration and other industrial applications.

Expanding its versatility even further, the UJF200 Series supports direct printing onto objects up to 250mm high and weighing up to 20kg, broadening its application possibilities to include products that were previously difficult to print on, such as carry-on bags and PC cases.

Designed to increase output and efficiency, the printers feature optional camera systems that automatically detect media position and align print images, reducing the need for manual setup and intervention. The UJF200-6042 can additionally be equipped with an optional belt feeding system, enabling seamless integration into automated industrial production environments and minimising operator dependency.

RasterLink8 adds smarter automated workflows

Mimaki is also launching RasterLink8, the latest generation of its RIP and workflow software. The new software introduces enhanced job management and automated camera alignment, positioning print data accurately while reducing manual setup. RasterLink8 also supports the fluorescent-colour workflows offered by Mimaki’s latest printers, helping users create vivid, high-impact output more efficiently. The software will be compatible with all models currently supported by RasterLink7.

Arjen Evertse, Director Sales at Mimaki Europe, comments, “Print businesses across the sign graphics and industrial sectors are under increasing pressure to deliver more work in shorter lead times, all while managing rising costs and shortages of skilled operators. The JFX220-2515 and UJF200 Series have been developed to simplify everyday production and reduce manual intervention. RasterLink8 further streamlines and automates these workflows. By combining this high productivity with greater application flexibility, these new systems can help print businesses protect margins and pursue sustainable growth.”

Mimaki advances DTF productivity and stability with new TxF330-800

Mimaki’s final product in this new line-up is the TxF330-800, a new direct-to-film (DTF) printer developed for textile decoration applications. Designed to deliver stable, high-quality output over extended production runs, the printer combines automated maintenance with increased white ink capacity and support for longer, uninterrupted printing. New Sky Blue and Pale Pink inks expand the printer’s colour gamut, delivering richer colours, smoother gradients and more accurate reproduction of both cool and warm tones.

“Performance and productivity were also key drivers in developing the TxF330-800,” continues Evertse. “The TxF330-800 is the ideal solution for print providers looking to add digital, garment decoration services or those already established in this market but in need of continuous, stable, high-quality printing. With Mimaki’s technical support and expertise combined with the advanced capabilities of this latest DTF printer, customers can take full advantage of efficient, profitable garment decoration.”
